Unfortunately, you’re limited to a free trial with only 10 searches per month, making it inconvenient if you need to check bulk domains. Fortunately, there are several web apps that utilize MOZ’s API to serve your domain metrics for free.
I decided to put Moonsy’s Domain Authority Checker at the top since it’s the only website that always seems to work and relatively hassle-free. There is no captcha to complete; just simply plug in your target domain and you swiftly get your DA/PA/Moz Rank. While this website has plenty of banners, an email opt-in popup, and a captcha, it allows you to get a thorough analysis of multiple metrics, including Domain Authority. You can also get a free Majestic report that will be sent to your email.
3. The Hoth
The Hoth is a big brand name in SEO/link building, which is surprising that they offer a DA lookup tool free of charge. The only thing you need to do is opt-in with your email and complete a captcha for a free report.
This tool is quite basic in comparison to others, but it offers the instant gratification of getting your Domain Authority and Page Authority ranks without hassle. Simply plug in your URL(s) and click on the Submit button. There are several other SEO tools that function similarly.
Among their various domain tools, PrepostSEO has a domain authority checker that’s pretty straightforward. Just complete the captcha and you will have your score.
